Just can’t get enough of the diversity of wildlife in this area - a good collection for reference made here.

Hello, Great shots. Were you up near Grand Lake when you saw the moose? I lived in Steamboat and Ft Collins for a total of 24 years. So I enjoy your blog a lot.

I also had written you a couple of months ago regarding your photo of Wanzitz /Chief Antelope in your Meeker Massacre posting. Chief Colorow is of great interest to me.

      Great blog.

Elizabeth, Hi, thanks for visiting. The photo of the two moose was taken on top of Rabbit Ear’s Pass near Steamboat and the single moose amongst the brush was taken on the North Inlet Trail near Grand Lake.

I’m so glad you’re enjoying, and I’m sure reminiscing, the articles posted on my blog. If you know of any other place that is interesting that I haven’t done, drop me a line. I would love to hear from you.

The Meeker Massacre was an interesting story, as I’d only at that time heard tidbits about the history of Meeker. I have an upcoming article about the Meeker Hotel, the past and present, you might be interested in.

The picture of the owl you have on your blog is awesome, just a little guy it looks like. I rescued several owls years ago north of Memphis and donated them to the City of Memphis. They raised them, and then turned them loose on downtown Memphis to help control the rat and mouse population.

      Thanks for visiting…
