Four Wheelin’ Trip Routt National Forest, August 2008

    By PK | August 8, 2008

One of many pleasures Routt National Forest holds for the outdoor enthusiasts is four wheelin’. It was hot and sticky in Steamboat, but up in these mountains with the wind in your face is cooling and relaxing. No traffic to hold you up, no red lights to stop your trek, just pure mountain air, wildlife, awesome scenery, and relaxation! We stopped to capture a picture of this isolated lake where there was once a ranch.

Hmmm…still looks habitable to me! I’d buy it!

A great sunset after a great evening.

Loading up, time to head back to Steamboat.

    More beautiful scenery…

    A road less traveled…

    My motto: get outdoors!!!

Breathtaking! I live out here on the High Plains of Colorado. The mountains are my favorite place on earth to visit. We were up there this summer — RMNP area. There’s just nothing better than the Colorado Rockies! And yeah, I’d buy that little ranch house by the lake, too! :)

PK…..first off, I have to tell you, you can only buy & habitate that cabin IF you get there first! We’d take it in a heartbeat! :)
Second..WOW! Up close & personal with that majestic Bull Elk! What an awesome opportunity!
Thirdly…Now, tell me…how is it you get to travel soooooooo much & see such glorious places & views!
      I want your life!

Barb and Leigh…haha, everyone wants my house and Barb…now my life!!! I’m still smiling!

Barb..second, getting up close and personal with elk can have it’s disadvantages and I’m sure Dalton was right behind me waiting to capture a whole new meaning to up close and personal. *smile

Third…we’ve only lived here two months, still in a RV, and Dalton doesn’t have a choice on the weekends. Can you imagine the consequences if I had to stay cooped up? heehee..enough said!

    4. Barb Says:

LOL! Hey PK…RV’ing can be a good thing! It is for you and your exursions! My hubby just saw that cabin…hey, we could live there he just said! See…that is “Prime” real estate now!

    5. PK Says:

Barb…we’re moving soon into town…ugh! But at least it’s into an awesome log home with great views of the ski slopes. RV’s going into winter storage, yippee! AND everywhere around here is “Prime” real estate. Have you gandered at the price of homes in Steamboat?
