By PK | December 7, 2008
One of Colorado’s oldest, continuous use ski areas that sent more skiers to international competition than any other area in North America opened yesterday. Howelsen Hill has the largest and most complete natural ski jumping complex in North America.

I was looking for blog ideas to add to my site and I found your site. I like what you have done and will be sure to check back for updates.

Having only ice skated before and never been skiing before I can only guess at how much fun it is sliding about on ice/snow with such ease. Are you going to get to use the resort PK?

Martin - I have never ice skated, much less skied. I would like to try. My courage is boosted by watching the little kids, some barely school age, literally flying down the steep hill. I do hope the opportunity prevails, however, the economy is here is terrible and that’s putting in mildly. Our country is in a recession, money is tight, and jobs scarce. Over half a million lost jobs in November. The ski resorts here was laying off even before opening. Skiing seems to be more expensive than hunting elk. I didn’t see but a handful on either of the resort’s slopes. People are getting tight-fisted. We are all unsure where our country is going at this point, except down.

Jenny, Thanks for visiting. I’m looking for ideas, too, but it’s more like trying to monetize the site. Any suggestions?
