I See Pink on the Weather Map - North Central Colorado Weather
By PK | August 15, 2008
I guess eventually it would begin, I just didn’t think it would start in the middle of August. Being of southern origin, I think of August as hot, humid and sticky. But today’s color is pink….a mix of rain and freezing rain in the Park Range Mountains around Mt. Zirkel, and Hwy 34 (Trail Ridge Road) in the Rocky Mountain National Park, portions of Routt National Forest, Never Summer Mountains, and Roosevelt National Forest as the storm front heads north east towards Wyoming.
The weatherman says this cold front won’t last long and soon we’ll be back to normal temperatures. Thank God for that!!! I’m not ready!
Click on my link for weather in the right column…enter my zip - 80487, and you’ll see PINK, too.
UPDATE - Light snow and slush were reported this morning on the way up to the eastbound Eisenhower tunnel, which remains open, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation. Up to two inches of snow could fall in elevations above 10,000 feet in Colorado due to this storm front.
Have a great weekend!

Are you sure you’re not in the south??? That’s why I left Tennessee, couldn’t take the heat so I got out of the oven and found myself in a refrigerator! In a month or so, that’ll change to freezer!
