Browser Problems….
By PK | December 17, 2008
Seems I can’t win for that big, red barn wall slapping me in the face. My normal browser is Firefox, which normally is okay and isn’t having problems such as Internet Explorer’s security flaws. I use both browsers for various reasons on both computers, sitting side by side, I double surf the net for info, games, and then more info. Both computers are identical….well, except one is my old one and one is new. But I’ve got them set up where they both run on the same software, the same browsers, and download and update throughout the night simultaneously.
My problem began last week with my FireFox browser. My PC automatically updated and since then I haven’t been able to upload pictures. SO…..I changed browsers and started using Internet Explorer to upload and publish my articles, UNTIL this morning when I read NOT TO USE IE BROWSERS!!!
So we enter into the next situation…..I have not updated my WordPress on ‘Blogging Us’ because my template is not compatible with the new versions, although I use the new versions on all my other websites. I REFUSED because I’m considerably happy with the look of ‘Blogging Us’. So I’m condemned to using my Flash up-loader and not a browser up-loader, which comes with the upgraded WordPress, as the Flash up-loader isn’t working since the update.
Are you following???
Okay…I’ll simplify it! NO PHOTOS!!!
I could, at this time, repeat my colorful language at having such issues while I’m trying to maintain a cheerful holiday mood, however, google still has ‘Blogging Us’ listed as ‘good family resources’, and so, I must decline.
But….Good News!!! I still am able to post on my alternate websites if you’re interested in additional various reading. So with good report, I bring you:
PK’s Jokes - Some Christmas Humor, Christmas Trees, Jingle Bell Mock, or The ‘Annotated’ Christmas Song.
PK’s Kountry Kitchen - Got Snow??? Try out this delicious recipe, Snow Cream.
Until then….I’ll keeping working on this problem, you have fun browsing. No pun intended!

Wow I am glad to know I am not the only crazy person in this world as my wife says I to have 2 computers side by side on my desk lol, I use on for linux and one dual booting Linux and windows, I had a problem with firefox and photos a few weeks ago and found that after I updated the java and flash it began working again. Just a thought maybe it will help.

Hey Sparky,
You aren’t the only crazy person with two computers. Thanks for the info about updating Firefox, but that’s actually what started the problem. I thought I’d delete the Flash and re-download it and install it again. Maybe then I’ll be up and running. Thanks! I’ll get it troubleshooted, just haven’t taken the time to do it.

God, I don’t know what I’d do if there was a technical fault on my browsers, probably cry. Everything is fine until the gremlins kick in - Where do you go from here PK?

Martin, thanks for visiting. We not only publish articles we write, but are the technical person behind the scenes as well, which can be quite trying at times. I disabled my flash add on in my browser and that enabled me to upload pictures via a browser up-loader. Problem not quite fixed but workable. Hope you enjoy my next article about the wildlife here in Craig and I’ll keep working on this browser….
