Longtime Memphis TV Weatherman, Brian Teigland dies
By PK | July 26, 2008
Every night most Americans watch the news, weather and sports. They have their favorite channel, their favorite newscaster, sportscaster, and their favorite weatherman. For 25 years I lived in Memphis and listened every night to Brian Teigland, the familiar face, the familiar voice announcing the weekly forecast.
I was shocked this morning as I caught up on all my readings to hear that Brian Teigland had died. My condolences go out to his family and friends, and I’m sure he will be sadly missed by many in the Memphis viewing area.
I never knew the man personally, but when you’ve watched someone on TV for 25 years, it becomes personal. They become a part of your daily life and routine and makes it seem like you did know them.
